After discussing with some voters, they have asked for the poll to be kept going for 2 more days to decide.

I'm not obliged with to reveal that, i'm afraid, Due to that fact that the voting has now closed with voters still wanting to vote, i'm doing a second round of voting. Sorry folks, just vote who you wanted before. Sorry about this! :S

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!
The vote had closed, this is the OFFICIAL thread, everyone had voted, if people didn't get there vote in thats tough there fault, you don't see the UK having a re-vote, i'm not trying to say you are being bitter because you haven't won, i am just begining to wonder.
I'm sure this would of stood if it had been 3-2 in your favour.

Look this may look suspicious but this was meant to go on for a week, not 5 days.
Point two, is that Damien Biggs wanted to retract his vote which is under the law, and along with this, This would've left us with two votes each, which called for a second round of Voting!, which as Chairman of the Electoral Commission, I have since called for. I would've done exactly the same anyhow.

Surely Damien would have had the capacity to retract his vote without a recount being called.

Actually as Damien went to retract his vote, the voting had just closed, Damien therefore contacted me telling me he wanted to retract his vote. Leaving Myself and Bobbie with 2 votes each, therefore leading onto Round 2.

the reason i didn’t manage to retract the vote was because I was in Southampton over the weekend and couldn’t get on a PC and so I thought that the poll was still going to be open when I got back

No, because if the poll was to go on for 7 days not 5 why wasn't the poll left open for this time? I'm sorry but theirs something fishy going on here...... He missed the 7 days and didn't get his vote changed, yes it may be in the law that someone can retract it (can you quote this?) but it is not in the law to say 'oh i was away so couldn't change my vote' I'm sorry, tough luck, yes its not necessarily fair, but the 7 days were missed and thats that.

You mean the 5 days were missed, I asked for an extension as for some reason I don't have admin, No one changed it! So it was left for 5. So he missed out on it because it wasn't open for 7 days and that isn't my fault as i dont have admin.

It seems that their are some rather serious accusations against the chairman of the electoral commission. Kieran, until this is resolved I'm afraid that I'm going to have to temporarily remove you from your post as electoral chairman. I'm also going to call a halt to elections for the time being. Allow me to assure everyone that this is only temporary and upon the resolution of this crisis elections will resume.
