Greetings Bobalania from the Microvision International Committee!Firstly I'd like to congratulate you once more on your victory in the recent contest, it was doubtlessly well deserved . Now we get to the actual reason for my visit: organising the hosting of the next contest! Obviously as victors of the last contest the next one will be hosted in a Bobalanian or other city of your choice, however this time to add a bit of extra interest the contest will have a theme for the songs! The most likely theme would be a decade, preferably a recent one such as the 60's or 70's, that all the songs will be from. Also to make this contest particularly special the results of each nation will be read out by a commentator (provisionally myself) and the winner will be announced verbally as part of the recording. I would like your assistance in choosing the theme so if you could get back to me with your decision as soon as possible that would be fantastic. Thanks!

Welcome to Bobalania! Firstly, may i say i love the banner! This is GREAT news, i love this idea, it will give the competition a new look and will make the best Eurovision EVER and the fact that its in Bobalania will be fantastic. As the Bobalanian citizens won the competition do you think we should let them vote on what genre it should be? I had swing or Jazz in mind. We could put it to a vote and see which is most favourite, what do you think? I understand this may not be possible if we do not have enough time. Thanks and I'm really looking forward to this MVN, Bobbie

There hasn't been a theme on any even tin the last, this is the first time as far as i know, which makes it even more exciting that Bobalania will get to host this.
I'll set up a board for it now.

I don't know what you mean by 'whos on the board'? @ rebecca - were you not here when we won it last time? I was.. but I had no idea it was on. Only bit of it I saw was when people were asking for last minute votes.. I must have been on a different planet.

Just with regard to the "jazz" or "swing" suggestions for themes. I'd suggest something a bit more general (hence the suggestion of decades) as if a nation picks a particular type of music which is well known to them but otherwise not well known it would give that nation an advantage .

Hmm I can see your point, but then I disagree in some form, but yeah the decade suggestion now we could look into that, say a 50's theme, that would go well

Well 60s would be better as there is an awful lot of songs from that decade that are well known.

I'm trying to remember what the last themed contest was....i think that was 60's or 70's although I don't really remember. Either way i don't think it matters, a decade such as the 60's or even the 90's would be good. If you could please try and conclude the debate ASAP that would be fantastic.

Hi, I designed the logo (if you may or may not remember) and where is the cross in the bobalanian flag?

Update: the call for entries has gone out and the first songs are being sent to our dear event organiser Dr-Spangle!. The contest logo (as in a specific logo for this months contest) has been designed and will be unveiled on the results show along with the new microvision soundbite! The entries will hopefully be announced on the microvision board you have set up here in Bobalania by the end of the week and then the voting shall begin! I can see this being the best Microvision song contest ever, Bobalania!

I shouldn't imagine it makes a world of distance how the songs are collected to be honest. Could you please provide an exact date for the contest, preferably it should be this month.
