Latin alphabet, possible accented letters, if needed.

How do we know if they are needed? Anyone Propose their Alphabet?

We don't, yet. No words have been made

So do we need words first before the Alphabet or do we do both at the same time?

Best to decide the basic alphabet first... but then add letters when/if needed...

Might be better to keep it less accented as possible lol.. A few is cool (enough to just C+P without it getting too annoying lol), but not too many eh? For us poor souls who have crappy keyboards with no accents.. lol

Yes, exactly, i think people wont bother to learn if it has too many accents.
You up for Helping Rebecca?

They'd probably be the basic áéíóú, which any keyboard can do (unless it's wánkered )

Alt Gr + a/e/i/o/u Unless you have not the Alt Gr key, then you need a decent computer

You just can't do anything without me can you? ;D
A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P R S T U V W Y Z
What about that? Accented: Á É Í Ó Ú and Ý
Y will be a vowel sounding like the german ü
Craitman?

Just happens to be exactly what I said...
But there shoudn't be the Ý. Basically because y and ü sound completely different to anyöne English, and I don't think there'd be a need for a separate letter for that sound any way because it might not be used much...

On what kind of language are we trying to focus here? Japanese, Germanic, Romance...?

Post by Craitman Pellegrino on Mar 18, 2008 10:30:23 GMT
I believe it's coming out looking to be Western Germanic (ie. English ) styled, with Romance grammar, and Japanese-esque vocabulary

Post by Apiya on Mar 18, 2008 10:36:58 GMT
It doesn't have to be english. Maybe it should be more german, NOT THE GRAMMAR though, grammar will be romance, or in other words, easy ;D . I really don't like the japanese idea. It will be Hardd (with two d's) to make and even harddder to learn.

We could use the Esperanto model in grammar.

We could use the Esperanto model in grammar. Pls, everything but esperanto . I really don't like the grammar of that language especially the plural suffix "oj" I don't think that that would be good. If Bobby still wants to have the Japanese thing in then it will be fine with me

No, I mean adopting the WAY Esperanto is constructed, not pieces of the language itself. It's made to be easy.

Hello, I'm Predrag. I speak bobilish and I'm from Apiya?

Salut, sunt Predrag. Vorbesc *bobilish* şi sunt din Apiya. It's not hard, nor easy, but we can use it for inspiration I guess

Post by Apiya on Mar 18, 2008 19:20:09 GMT
-Salut is good. -We will change the "sunt" verb -Vorbe is good for the word speak -şi doesn't sound very good for "and" -"din" will be good for the prep. "from"
